Marc Wroe Turned Turquoise-Inlaid Wood Vessel, III

$875.00

This is a beautifully elaborated and finely carved splatted mesquite wood vessel that has been polished to a satin smoothness and inlaid with turquoise by the listed Arizona Artist, Marc Wroe. The vessel is artist signed and dated 4/1994. The beauty of the piece speaks for itself. Wroe’s carefully turning of the specially selected woods retains the elements of the soul of the tree from which the speciment was taken. The forms and detailing of the vessels reflect the several cultural influences brought to Southwestern art—Native Amrican, Spanish Colonial and the encroaching white settler. The vessel dates to the late 20th century and is in very good original condition. We have applied a couple of coats of hard paste wax to heighten its natural beauty. We have listed two additional Marc Wroe vessels separately. Please contact MJH Design Arts for pricing if you desire to purchase all three vessels.
